For me, creating art is a form of communication. Painting is a language I use to relate to the world around me. In this way, my work is very observational - teetering the line between philosophy and satire, blending the ordinary with the arcane.

Iā€™m constantly working to visualize the intangible, ephemeral elements of life. I want to immortalize the quiddity of the human experience through vibrant, delightfully confusing lines and shapes. I bounce back and forth between hiding and revealing, pushing and pulling, while creating a balance between what is real and what is being abstracted. With each piece I work to mimic the ways in which life makes you question & consider its meaning.

Research fuels much of the content of my work and I draw inspiration from a wide variety of sources including pop culture, mythology, religious texts, poetry, music, literature, as well as daily life and observation. My creative process is driven by these influences as I work to create visual experiences that entice my viewer to stop, behold and consider life more deeply
